The press is adjustable for 3in shells

The MEC 650 gives maximum performance with a minimum of effort. It works on six shells at once. With every stroke, a reloaded shell is completed. The MEC 650 does not resize except as a separate operation. This is the ideal press for the person who wishes to resize and inspect their shells as a separate operation. The MEC SuperSizer is recommended to fill your resizing needs.

The MEC 650 has three crimping stations. The first station starts the crimp. The second closes the crimp. And the third station places the taper on the shell that is so important for proper feeding in a pump or automatic.

Each spring whitetail bucks begin the process of growing a new set of antlers. Biologists term this process antlergenesis. It is extremely draining on the buck's body and skeletal system as it struggles to obtain the needed protein, calcium, and other necessary nutrients to grow antlers. Mossy Oak BioLogic Chicory - In New Orleans they add chicory to coffee.  Around here we add it to deer.

If you�ve ever witnessed the wee hour crowds parked at Caf� Du Monde and wondered where they found the energy, the answer may rest in chicory. Highly nutritious and decidedly palatable to deer, our new BioLogic Chicory blend will be a highly effective addition to any plot. To the deer managers who�ve tried it, chicory has provided a dependable and impressive addition to their plots. Superior health and substantial antler growth are the most obvious benefits. What many managers also appreciate is Chicory�s ability to thrive in the most severe conditions. Chicory does best when added to other blends or single crops. Over-seeded or mixed with other seeds during the initial establishment of the plot, you can expect three to five years of sustained regrowth.

Mossy Oak BioLogic Chicory is best planted during the early Fall, preferably prior to a rain, in southern regions. Moisture is key to developing healthy roots before the onset of Summer�s hot dry weather. In the North, planting is most successful in the Spring. Target plantings to coincide with leaf formation on hardwood trees. If you�re just freshening up an existing plot frost seeding is an acceptable technique.

Mossy Oak BioLogic Clover Patch - Clover Patches can generate all sorts of great memories and we're not talking about on  St. Patrick's day.

Some of our finest hunts have been over clover patches in the fall so our �field testers� loved the idea of developing a little clover patch tucked back in the woods. We specially selected clovers to deliver maximum attraction, especially in the fall during hunting season. But they�re also there for you in the spring � for turkey season. With proper management Clover Patch can bring you several years of service and more luck than a leprechaun.

This blend is best planted by spreading the seed on a well-prepared seedbed at 8 lbs. per acre, and then using a cultipacker to cover the seed. Broadcasting the seed on a well-prepared seedbed just prior to a rain also produces an excellent stand as the rain serves to bury the seed the appropriate depth (1/4'). Disking is not a recommended method of covering the seed as this process buries the seed too deep for germination.

In southern climates, Clover Patch should be planted during the fall when adequate soil moisture is available. In northern climates it should be planted in the spring.

BioLogic�s LabLab is a vigorous, twining legume specially formulated for outstanding performance in food plots from spring well into autumn. It�s resistant to insects and disease, grows well even in rough or acidic soil, proves resilient under heavy browsing and produces an incredible amount of forage � plants often grow two to three feet in height. Deer are strongly attracted to LabLab�s large, succulent leaves � an excellent source of protein and phosphorus for antler growth and development. Landowners and managers appreciate how vigorously it grows. A favorite blend for those who manage their plot year-round for optimal deer herd health and maximum antler production.

Because LabLab is a legume, it can be successfully grown anywhere that soybeans and peas will grow. The standard ratio is 20 lbs. of LabLab to every one acre of land. How to Plant:

Areas of well drained soil:

What is PowerPlant?
Imperial PowerPlant, the newest product offered by The Whitetail Institute, is an annual planting that consists of a mixture of warm season forages that work together to offer an ultra high-protein food source. Completely different than any product developed by the Institute, PowerPlant provides more tonnage of browse per acre than any food plot product available.

The unique seed blend includes small amounts of sorghum and sunflowers along with heavy doses of beans and peas.  The specially developed legumes found in PowerPlant are fast growing and extremely high in protein. Because of the unique blend of forages and fast growing capabilities, PowerPlant can be planted in smaller acreages and has a much better chance of surving relatively heavy browsing.
  
PowerPlant is a spring/summer planting that grows very well in a variety of moist and dry soils, and has been field tested around the country on wild, free-ranging deer. The plot will typically thrive throughout the hottest months and into early fall.

PowerPlant is not a substitute for Imperial Whitetail Clover, ALFA-RACK or No-Plow, it is an additional forage to further enhance the health of your deer herd. PowerPlant simply increases the amount and diversity of protein-rich forage available on your property, and it grows in more soil types than clover. Its primary purpose is to offer deer the high-protein, antler-building forage needed during the antler-growing process.

A PowerPlant food plot looks and functions differently than other food plots. As the taller, structural forages grow, viney plants grow up the stalks. The support plants grow to a maximum height of 4 to 6 feet and prevent the beans and peas from simply crawling along the ground. Viney legumes that do not have a support structure will often become stunted and fall into poor health. The support plants allow the viney plants to rapidly regenerate and provide constant forage throughout the plot�s lifespan. A typical 1-acre PowerPlant food plot can produce more than TWO TONS of forage per year.

PowerPlant is easy to plant and establish. A 25-pound bag of PowerPlant typically covers three-quarters to one acre. After a soil test is done to determine the pH level, spread the appropriate amount of lime on the site to reduce acidity. Whitetail Institute products produce optimum results when pH levels are around 7. Disk the area thoroughly at least 4 to 6 inches deep. Disperse the seed and LIGHLTY disk or harrow the plot to cover the seed no more than 1 inch deep. Recommended plantings run from early May to late June, depending on location.

Secret Spot is the only 'personal' food plot planting. It's designed to be planted in that small clearing in the middle of the woods where big deer like to hang out. Secret Spot will attract and stop deer close to your stand. It's so easy to plant, and so effective, you'll buy a bag for every stand!

Thistles, dock weed and ragweed are examples of broadleaf weeds that can damage or even destroy food plots. Broadleaf weeds, like grasses, can spread quickly and take valuable moisture and nutrients from the soil. They can also damage food plots by shading out the desired forages. This is especially true when the plantings are young. Slay herbicide effectively controls broadleaf weeds while not harming Imperial Whitetail Clover or Alfa-Rack and many other food plot plantings.

*Important Note: Sure-Fire Sticker or some type surfactant is required for effective use of Slay herbicide. Without a surfactant Slay will be marginally effective at best.
